Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone is having a lovely Thanksgiving. I can't believe it's that time of the year already. This year sure flew by quickly. The year is ending so soon. I'm looking forward to the holidays this year. I would like to take the time to thank those who I have been blessed to have in my life. This year I am thankful for so many people and so many things. I am so blessed to have a very loving and understanding husband, who always give in to all my needs. He never fails to be there for me through all my ups and downs. I am truly grateful to have found my soul mate, my best friend, and the love of my life. I want him to know how much I truly appreciate everything he has done for me and our family. I am also grateful for my family, for always being there for me through thick and thin, especially my sisters. This year, I am also thankful to be blessed with a beautiful daughter. After three boys, we are all really glad she came to us. The boys adore her so much. She is loved by everyone. She completes our family and fills our lives with so much joy.

I am hosting Thanksgiving at my house again this year so I thought it would be nice to do something a little different this year. I decided to have everyone write down what it is that they are thankful or grateful for this year and share it with everyone at the dinner table. I thought it would be a nice thing to have as a keepsake that they can take home and cherish throughout the year. This is what I came up with:
This is what the note cards looks like. It is made from using Stampin' Up!'s Two Tags Die. I couldn't just leave it alone so I made a pocket to hold the note cards.
The pocket that holds the note cards is made using DSP from the Holiday Catalog called Orchard Harvest. It's prefect for the fall theme. It's made using a piece of cardstock that measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/4", scored at 1/2" and 2 3/8" on the 4 1/4" side. As you can see, the note cards are kept simple. I hand drew the lines where each person will be writing what they are thankful for. Then they can stick them back inside the pocket.
I also didn't stop there. I made a box to hold the note card pockets. The box is made from using the Stampin' Up! Fancy Favor Die. Then I cut a little opening so the note cards can be seen. It holds nicely 16 note cards. Of course I had to make two sets since we have a very large family. But, I think it all came together so nicely. I forgot to mention that I used the Crumb Cake Scallop Tulle Ribbon to tie a bow around the bottom just to add a nice touch to it. I had lots of fun making these note cards. I think it will be a fun thing to do as a family.
